SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AGREEMENT (SRA) PAYMENT TO ADIDRO NKABOM KUO OF KYEIKROM On August 18, 2021, Samartex presented a cheque of GH₵25,161.56 to Adikro Nkabom Kuo of Kyeikrom as SRA payment for the community representing 5% stumpage fee. During the presentation, the District Forest Manager (Forestry Commissioner) Mr. Raymond Obeng Boamah urged the people of Kyeikrom to make judicious use of the SRA for developmental projects, adding that they should ensure nobody diverts the funds. HEALTH AND SAFETY AWARENESS WEEK  Samartex Environmental Health (EHS) organized a safety awareness week between 5th and 8th August 2021 themed “Work Smart” aimed at educating and sensitizing workers on workplace safety. As part of the program, the Samartex EHS team had interactions with workers of the various departments through questions and observations.  Concerns of workers on issues of safety were also received to better enhance workers' participation and involvement. Additional safety signs were mounted at various vantage points within the factory facility to enhance safety communication. Management of Samartex has initiated a young academy of players within the age range of 10 - 15 years who will be trained and nurtured eventually to take over the senior team FC Samartex 1996. SAMARTEX EMBARKS ON A MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAMME AT KAKRAKROM ON 14TH JULY, 2021 On July 14, 2021, Samartex embarked on a community outreach to Kakrakrom, a village located within Wassa Amenfi West Municipal, about a 2km meter drive off Samreboi – Amuaku road. Asante Akyem is a village about 3KM off the Sureso-Samreboi road and also about 22KM from Samreboi, in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipal, Western Region, Ghana. The village and its surrounding communities have no electricity, no treated water, no healthcare facility, deplorable school structure, deplorable roads, etc, compelling Management of Samartex to initiate a monthly medical outreach, which commenced on February 24, 2021.    The outreach team comprised 5 medical staff, including the Resident Doctor of Samartex Hospital, Doctor Tijani, started with a health talk, before proceeding to actual screening and consultation. A total of 87 patients were seen, with varying health and medical conditions.…
